Job description

The role involves responding to reactive and planned maintenance tasks in a mobile capacity, ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations and standards.

With a focus on fault diagnosis and problem-solving, the Gas Engineer aims to minimise downtime, maintain high client satisfaction, and ensure the quality and reliability of building services.

The role requires a commitment to health and safety, technical excellence, and a proactive approach to service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform commercial combustion, heating, and HVAC PPM, reactive and proactive maintenance within SLA
• Handle additional building services maintenance including HVAC, mechanical, and fabric tasks
• Participate in callout rota as per client requirements
• Maintain cleanliness in plant rooms, workshops, and storage areas
• Carry out heating system installations and repairs, including basic electrical fault finding
• Oversee and monitor contractors, issuing Permits to Work to ensure standards are met
• Ensure heating equipment performs to required specifications and meets site standards
• Represent the company professionally to maintain high customer satisfaction

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or similar
• Gas Safe Registered, Full UK Driving Licence
• Proven experience in commercial FM/building services
