Job description

Our client is a leading Grounds Maintenance and Landscaping Contractor. They are recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join their team.

As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, it is essential to:

1. Hold a valid Drivers License.
2. Have at least 3 years experience working for Grounds Maintenance Contractors.

It is desirable to have:

1. PA1/PA6 License.

As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, your duties will include:

1. All aspects of horticulture; specialized and more general.
2. All aspects of lawn care.
3. Chemical applications and record keeping (PA1 & PA6 preferable but not essential) - subject to training and supervision as required.
4. Ground clearance and seasonal work.
5. Sweeping and maintenance of hard surfaces/furniture within the gardens.
6. Tending to beds, borders, and containers.
7. Specialized pruning and trimming.
8. Maintenance/cleaning of water features and day-to-day maintenance of irrigation systems.
9. Safe operation of machinery subject to training.
