What we are looking for:
Escape Velocity Entertainment is seeking a Game Director to lead the mobile player experience for our unannounced cross-platform title. The focus is on ensuring quality and parity across all platforms, with a deep expertise in mobile platforms. The role involves partnering with senior leaders to define product excellence, collaborating on the game's creative vision, and ensuring mobile players' needs are met. The Mobile Game Director will advocate for the game vision and mobile requirements both internally and externally.

Requirements:

• Shipped at least one AAA mobile title in a Director or Lead role
• Minimum 10 years in the game industry, with at least 5 in leadership roles
• Deep understanding of mobile players' needs and how they differ from PC and console players
• Excellent communication skills, conveying authenticity and expertise
• Interest in industry trends and thought leadership
• Passion for games and game development

What we will do together:

• Visionary partnership and leadership: Collaborate with the Game Director and Discipline Directors to carry the game and franchise vision into the mobile experience. Work with internal and co-developer teams to translate this vision into engaging and respectful mobile gameplay.
• Strategic collaboration and foresight: Define and refine the mobile development roadmap, collaborate with franchise GMs to reach broad audiences without compromising creative integrity, and develop fair retention and monetization strategies.
• Development excellence: Focus on what matters most, inspire and lead development teams, and partner with production to create a scalable, effective development environment.
• Player-first, data-informed decisions: Work with QA, Community, Marketing, Product, and Data teams to shape testing, perception, and game evolution based on player behavior.

What you will bring:

• Experience shipping AAA mobile titles as a Director or Lead
• At least 10 years in the industry, with 5+ in leadership
• Understanding of mobile players' needs and how they differ from other platforms
• Strong communication skills
