Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is seeking an experienced Mobile Forklift Engineer to join our Newcastle team, covering customer sites across the surrounding area.

You will service, maintain, diagnose and repair forklift trucks and materials handling equipment, travel to client sites, and work with manufacturer training and support. A full UK driving licence is required and a proactive, customer-focused approach is essential.

Formación

• Experience as Mobile Forklift Engineer or similar
• Strong fault-finding across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
• Proactive, customer-focused with good communication

Responsabilidades

• Travel to customer sites across Newcastle and the surrounding areas
• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on forklift trucks
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
• Use laptop-based diagnostic systems to identify and resolve faults
• Complete planned maintenance, breakdowns and inspections
• Complete chargeable, warranty and internal repairs to a high standard
• Maintain accurate service records and job sheets
• Provide professional technical support and excellent customer service
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
• Participate in weekend cover and additional hours on a rota

We are recruiting for an experienced Mobile Forklift Engineer to join an established team in Newcastle, covering customer sites across the surrounding area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer with forklift, materials handling or similar mechanical engineering experience to work on a range of modern forklift equipment, with access to manufacturer training, technical support and experienced colleagues.

As a Mobile Forklift Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on customer machinery, ensuring equipment is operating safely and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites across Newcastle and the surrounding areas
• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on forklift trucks
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer, Plant Fitter, Field Service Engineer, Agricultural Engineer or similar
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
• Experience working with hydraulic and electrical systems
• Experience servicing and repairing forklift trucks or similar materials handling equipment
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A full UK driving licence
• The ability to manage a busy workload and respond effectively to customer requirements
