Job summary

ISS Facilities Services is seeking a Fire Door Maintainer/Installer to join a mobile field-based team across Glasgow and Edinburgh. You will carry out fire door surveys, inspections and installations across client sites, ensuring compliance with current fire door regulations and BM TRADA standards wherever applicable.

The role requires joinery or carpentry experience, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work independently across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Experience working on internal and external fire doors.
• Knowledge of current fire door regulations and compliance.
• Joinery or carpentry background.
• NVQ or City & Guilds in Joinery or Carpentry.
• Experience with BM TRADA standards or accreditation is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Able to work independently in a mobile role.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out visual fire door inspections using the company's designated inspection system.
• Deliver fire door installation works in accordance with current regulations and industry standards.
• Take responsibility for Fire Door PPM, remedial repairs and installation works issued through the helpdesk within agreed timescales.
• Produce accurate remedial quotations following inspections and surveys.
• Support BM TRADA accreditation requirements, completing training and qualifications as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other teams to meet service level agreements and customer expectations.
• Ensure all administration, records and documentation are completed accurately and within timescales.
• Maintain compliance with Health & Safety requirements, including risk assessments, COSHH and safe working practices.
