Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Mobile Fabric Engineer to support building maintenance and fabric services across the Essex estate. The role involves multi-trade duties including joinery, painting, plumbing and minor electrical repairs, plus general handyman tasks for two-person teams.

You will ensure timely delivery of maintenance tasks, adhere to safety policies and KPIs, and participate in an eight-week-on-call rotation during probation. 40-hour week, site-based role.

Qualifications

• Maintain safety policies and demonstrate a positive safety culture.
• Meet performance targets and KPIs while delivering service.
• Occasional out-of-hours on-call duty every ~8 weeks during probation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out building maintenance and fabric repairs across the estate.
• Perform joinery, painting, plumbing and minor electrical repairs.
• Support general handyman duties for two-person teams and cover absences.
• Undertake minor works, keep equipment clean and in working order.
