Job description

Building a sustainable tomorrow

BAM FM is recruiting a Mobile Fabric Engineer with a plumbing background for a stand-alone contract in the Stoke-on-Trent area. Working hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Performing Planned Preventative Maintenance and completing related documentation
  • Carrying out reactive and emergency breakdown tasks, including paperwork
  • Assisting team members and managing visiting sub-contractors regarding work standards and safety
  • Ensuring tasks are completed within contractual timeframes
  • Demonstrating competency in fabric and plumbing skills
  • Overseeing routine maintenance programs and managing spare parts and tools safely
  • Providing technical support and monitoring subcontractor work
  • Controlling the BMS system as applicable
  • Maintaining detailed records for statutory testing and inspections
  • Adhering to health and safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • Participating in a call-out rota (approximately 1 in 4)
  • Performing other duties as required

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience in fabric maintenance, repairs, fault diagnosis, including plumbing, boilers, ventilation, pumps, and water hygiene
  • Understanding of SLAs, KPIs, and service targets
  • Ability to diagnose faults and complete paperwork accurately
  • Good IT skills and customer service skills
  • Experience in a trade discipline, able to work independently and in a team
  • Full UK driver’s license
  • Certifications: PASMA, MEWP, plumbing, Legionella, First Aid
