Job description

Supporting a key client, we at Lancer Scott are seeking an experienced Fabric Maintenance Operative to provide mobile cover to sites across the Cardiff area, having expanded an existing national contract. This opportunity is offered on a permanent basis. As the successful applicant, your day will consist of both planned and reactive work, supporting a large retail client, a high-profile household name.

We appreciate that everyone has different skillsets, and this role suits a true all-rounder. Ideally, you’ll be someone who has picked up tips and tricks along the way, and we are looking for genuine multi-trade candidates.

If you are a general handyman (no electrics involved) with experience in the following skillsets, please submit an application:

• Flooring and ceiling works
• General building
• Knowledge of plumbing

As part of the team, you will receive:

• An annual salary of £30,000 – £32,000
• Company van and fuel card
• Working hours from 8:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
• Weekend work on rotation at an enhanced rate

• Uniform and PPE

Skills & Experience:

It is anticipated that you’ll have a trade qualification, NVQ, or equivalent; however, we highly value experience. You should be able to identify solutions proactively and specify materials required for your trade. Being a capable all-rounder, you should also be comfortable using IT, as your work will be shared via a PDA.

You will be working with a variety of people and customers with different needs, so clear communication and confidence in managing expectations are essential.

A full UK driving license is essential, as we will supply a company vehicle to ensure mobility.
