Mobile Engineer – West Central Scotland

Location: Field-based across West and Central Scotland (Glasgow base ideal)

Package: £29,000 starting salary, rising to £32,000 after 12 months + paid travel time (average earnings £35K+) + van + training

THE COMPANY

This well-established, family-run engineering firm has five depots across Scotland and a strong reputation for looking after its staff. With a consistent pipeline of work and a loyal customer base, they service a wide variety of industrial and commercial equipment across sectors ranging from manufacturing to agriculture. As the business continues to grow, they’re now recruiting for a new Mobile Engineer to cover the West Central Scotland area.

THE ROLE

This is a field-based service role offering real variety – no two days are the same. You’ll be responsible for the routine servicing, inspection and maintenance of mechanical equipment at a wide range of customer sites.

1. You’ll visit all sorts of locations – from large manufacturing facilities to rural farms in the countryside
2. All work is Monday to Friday – no weekend requirements
3. You’ll receive paid door-to-door travel – most engineers earn £35,000+
4. Starting salary is £29,000 and rises to £32,000 after 12 months
5. A full and structured training programme is provided, including classroom-based learning and one-to-one coaching in the field with experienced engineers
6. All tools, uniform, PPE and a fully equipped van are supplied

ABOUT YOU

1. You’re currently in an engineering role (either field-based or site-based) and want more variety
2. You hold an NC or HNC in engineering – any discipline
3. You enjoy working independently, solving problems, and speaking with customers
4. You have a full UK driving licence and a good work ethic
