Position: Mobile Electrician

Location: M3 Corridor (Basingstoke, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Porstmouth, Bracknell area)

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday Full-time, Permanent

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join our dynamic team, focusing on a key contract covering modern office spaces along the M3 corridor.

The Role

As a Mobile Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a variety of commercial office buildings. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Carrying out PPMs and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power, emergency lighting, and fire alarm systems.

  • Conducting fault-finding and repairs to ensure minimal disruption to the client.

  • Performing minor electrical installations and project works.

  • Completing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).

  • Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with current Health & Safety legislation and the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).

  • Maintaining clear and accurate records of all work completed.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a fully qualified and experienced electrician with a strong background in commercial maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Essential Qualifications:

    • City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, or equivalent.

    • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification.

  • Desirable Qualifications:

    • City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) in Testing and Inspection.

  • Experience & Skills:

    • Proven experience working in a similar maintenance role within commercial environments (offices, retail, etc.).

    • A full UK Driving Licence.

    • Excellent fault-finding, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.

    • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively.

    • Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.

    • Willingness to participate in the on-call rota.
