Mobile Engineer - Mechanical and Electrical Bias

Position is mainly based - Onsite at Rolls-Royce (East Grinstead and North London)

What this job involves:

At JLL UK, we're looking for a talented Mobile Engineer with both mechanical and electrical expertise to join our dynamic facilities management team. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing various building systems across our Rolls-Royce sites In East Grinstead, and London , ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This position requires someone who can work independently while collaborating effectively with clients and team members to deliver exceptional service in line with UK building regulations and standards. What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of mechanical and electrical systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical installations, and building management systems in accordance with UK regulations
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions that comply with British Standards
  • Respond to emergency service calls, prioritising work based on urgency and JLL / Rolls-Royce needs
  • Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and part replacements in our computerised maintenance management system following UK compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with the wider UK facilities management team to ensure efficient operation of all building systems
  • Maintain professional relationships with our client, providing technical advice and recommendations based on current UK industry best practices
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures in line with HSE guidelines while performing maintenance activities

Required Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Valid UK certifications including 18th Edition Electrical Regulations.
  • Experience in UK building maintenance with demonstrated expertise in both mechanical and electrical systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose complex system issues within UK building environments
  • Full UK driving licence with clean record
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
  • Compliance knowledge of UK building regulations and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response
