The Role and the Team

We’re seeking an Android developer passionate about creating intuitive and impactful apps to join our newly established cross-functional team at Blue Light Card. What You’ll Do

1. Build high-quality mobile applications with clear, maintainable code, and promote best practices within the mobile community of practice at Blue Light Card.
2. Collaborate with team members to design solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements, adhering to architectural standards.
3. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, participate in code reviews, and uphold coding standards and best practices.
4. Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and deliver features aligned with the product vision.
5. Implement and maintain unit and UI tests to improve code quality, diagnose and fix bugs, and optimize performance for a better user experience.
6. Support automated build, test, and deployment processes to enable seamless release cycles.
7. Document technical requirements, specifications, and decisions to maintain a clear knowledge base and ensure maintainability.

What You’ll Bring

• Proficiency in Kotlin and experience building modern, intuitive UI with Jetpack Compose.
• Strong understanding of Koin for dependency injection and Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) for shared business logic.
• Experience using GitHub for source control, GitHub Actions for CI/CD, and Firebase Crashlytics for app stability monitoring.
• Familiarity with tools like Amplitude (analytics), Braze (push notifications and in-app messaging), and Stripe (payment processing) to create engaging, data-driven applications.
• Hands-on experience with Appium for UI testing and Firebase App Distribution for pre-release testing.
• Understanding or experience with server-driven UI concepts to develop dynamic, flexible app designs.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, mentor junior developers, and foster continuous learning and process improvement.
