Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Mobile Engineer - Air Conditioning in Bury St Edmunds to provide planned and reactive maintenance across a varied client portfolio. You will service split AC systems, VRV/VRF units, heat pumps and refrigeration equipment, ensuring accurate documentation and timely reporting of defects.

You’ll work with Daikin, Mitsubishi, Midea, Toshiba and LG equipment, participate in an On-Call rota, and contribute to a growing engineering team with ongoing technical development.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Maintenance / Facilities Management environment.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and Permit to Work systems.
• Ability to perform manual tasks including manual handling, working at height and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance and repair of air conditioning equipment (split AC, VRV/VRF) and heat pumps.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs on refrigeration equipment such as chilled cabinets and ice machines.
• Complete all work-related documentation including inspection reports and service records.
• Identify, report and communicate defects to clients during service visits.
• Work across a range of manufacturer equipment following installation designs and troubleshooting procedures.

We're looking for a Mobile Engineer - Air Conditioning who will provide planned and reactive air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance services across a diverse client portfolio.

Role Responsibilities:

• -Undertake the maintenance and repair of air conditioning equipment including split AC systems, VRV/VRF systems and heat pumps.
• -Carry out maintenance and repairs on refrigeration equipment such as chilled cabinets, multideck and ice machines where required.
• -Complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, including inspection reports, service records and remedial works.
• -Identify, report and communicate defects, keeping clients informed of site activities during service visits.
• -Work across a variety of manufacturer equipment including Daikin, Mitsubishi, Midea, Toshiba and LG, following installation designs and manufacturer troubleshooting procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• -Experience within a Maintenance / Facilities Management environment.
• -Relevant qualifications such as FGAS & ODS Regulations, a time-served apprenticeship, City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• -Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, Permit to Work systems and safe systems of work.
• -Ability to perform manual tasks including manual handling, working at height and working in confined spaces, with a willingness to participate in the On-Call Rota.
• -Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to use a handheld computer device (PDA), with a self-motivated and solutions-focused approach.
