PRS is hiring a Mobile Electrician to join an estates team delivering electrical services across care homes, healthcare, and mental health facilities in the South West and South Wales. The role includes a basic salary up to £42,000 per year plus a company van, call-out pay and overtime.

An enhanced DBS check is required. You will perform electrical installations, testing, certification, and fault finding, while maintaining documentation to BS 7671 standards and supporting maintenance activities

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical installation, testing, inspection and fault finding.
• Ability to complete and issue Minor Works Certificates, EICs and EICRs.
• Relevant Electrical Qualification (Level 3 or City & Guilds 236 Part 1 & 2).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification required.

Responsabilités

• Carry out all aspects of electrical installations including first fix, second fix, upgrades and complete installations.
• Undertake electrical testing in accordance with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
• Complete and issue electrical certificates: Minor Works Certificates, EICs and EICRs.
• Diagnose, repair and certify electrical systems after remedial works.
• Ensure testing, certification and documentation meet statutory requirements.
• Carry out fault finding, diagnosis and electrical maintenance work.
• Support reactive, planned and preventative maintenance activities.
• Undertake a range of building maintenance duties as required.

Mobile Electrician

£40 - £42,000 per annum plus van, call out and overtime

We are recruiting for a Mobile Electrician to join an estates team working across care homes, healthcare and mental health facilities across South West and South Wales. This is a permanent position paying a basic salary of up to £42,000 per annum plus van, call out and overtime. The successfulapplicant must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check.

Main Duties

• Carry out all aspects of electrical installations, including first fix, second fix, upgrades, alterations, and complete installations.
• Undertake electrical inspection and testing in accordance with current BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
• Complete and issue electrical certification, including:
  • Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificates
  • Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs)
  • Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
• Diagnose, repair, and certify electrical systems following remedial works.
• Ensure all testing, certification, and documentation is completed accurately and maintained in line with statutory requirements.
• Carry out fault finding, diagnosis, and electrical maintenance works.
• Support reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance activities.
• Undertake a range of multi-skilled building maintenance duties as required.
• Produce risk assessments and work safely within approved systems of work.
• Participate in the on-call rota (with additional payments provided).
• Deliver excellent customer service while working within environments supporting vulnerable people

Requirements and Qualifications

• Relevant Electrical Qualification (Level 3 or City & Guilds 236 Part 1 & 2).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Proven experience in electrical installation, testing, inspection, and fault finding.
• Ability to complete and issue Minor Works Certificates, EICs, and EICRs.
• Previous experience in a similar maintenance or facilities role.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• General building maintenance knowledge and experience
• Comfortable working in environments supporting vulnerable individuals.

On offer is a permanent position paying a basic salary of up to £37,500 per annum, plus a van for work use, opportunity to boost earnings via call out (1 week in 6, standby retainer paid) and overtime.
