Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly capable Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer to join the Facilities Maintenance team. You will maintain electrical systems across the Trust estate, includingPPM, repairs and alterations, with a focus on safety and reliability for patients and staff.

The role involves working on Building Management Systems, AHUs, motors, and electrical testing, with opportunities for professional development and on-call support to ensure continuous service

Qualifications

• Proven multi-skilled engineering background with strong electrical bias.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs with safety compliance.
• Experience with building management systems and mechanical equipment.
• Able to interpret schematic drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to participate in on-call duties.
• Experience in hospital or healthcare environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across electrical installations and services
• Diagnose and resolve faults promptly, ensuring minimum disruption
• Support capital projects by witnessing and accepting new electrical works
• Maintain compliance with safety policies including Legionella, Asbestos, and Electrical Safety
• Involvement with Building Management Systems and mechanical equipment maintenance
• On-call duties to meet service needs and patient safety requirements
• Opportunities to expand skills through training on electrical safety and regulatory compliance

About the Role

Are you a highly skilled, electrically biased engineer looking to make a real difference in healthcare? NHS Frimley Health Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and adaptable Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Facilities Maintenance team. You will deliver a high-quality, flexible maintenance service supporting our commitment to excellent patient care. Your expertise will cover Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), repairs, alterations, testing, and installation of electrical systems and equipment across our Trust estate. This role requires you to work proactively, often responding to complex faults with limited initial information, ensuring our environments are safe, reliable, and welcoming for patients, staff, and visitors.

• Previous hospital or healthcare environment experience is desirable but not essential
