Job summary

King & Moffatt Building Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to perform planned preventive maintenance and inspections across Midlands sites. You will adhere to SFG20, manage client communications, and supervise subcontractors while maintaining safety documentation.

The role covers electrical installations, testing, and certification such as EICRs, with focus on LV/HV systems, UPS and HVAC. A full UK driving licence is required, along with BS7671 knowledge.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in maintenance and PPM regimes to SFG20.
• Proficiency in PC and MS Office applications.
• Recognised 3rd Level Qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Excellent fault diagnosis skills.
• Experience with UPS, standby power, lifts, boilers, and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of electrical switchgear and earthing systems (LV & HV).

Responsibilities

• Complete a range of Planned Preventive Maintenance Tasks and Inspections to SFG20.
• Communicate effectively with client site engineering team and management.
• Maintain all electrical plant services to industry standards.
• Oversee subcontractor activities with risk assessments and QHSE permits.
• Conduct electrical installations and upgrades in line with BS7671.
• Test and certify EICRs and Minor Works Certificates.
• Identify parts and quotations for condition maintenance plans.
• Maintain RAMS and project safety documentation.
• Assist during Out of Hours call-out rota.
