Job summary

Cambridge Maintenance Services Limited is seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer to cover planned and reactive maintenance of electrical plants across client contracts, ensuring high standards. You will work within our maintenance team, carry out inspections, respond to faults, and support out-of-hours cover, with a focus on safe, compliant, and efficient workplace facilities.

Qualifications

• Understanding of M&E services.
• Technical Certification in Electrical Installation (e.g., City & Guilds).
• City & Guilds 2391 qualification.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Competent electrical fault finding and analysis.
• Self-managing with ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent communication skills in a diverse environment.
• Methodical record keeping.
• Ability to understand and analyse electronic systems.
• Hands-on approach and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide a quality service to nominated clients per contractual standards.
• Work to recognised industry standards at all times.
• Carry out physically demanding tasks as required.
• Manage Elogbooks for sites/locations.
• Carry out quality inspections.
• Respond to reactive maintenance promptly to equipment breakdowns.
• Fix faults on site or arrange replacement equipment.
• Participate in out-of-hours emergency cover as necessary.
• Coordinate with Lead Engineer to establish maintenance programmes.
• Maintain personal and professional development through training.

Mobile Electrical Engineer

Job Description:

As part of the maintenance team, engineers will be expected to provide a comprehensive planned and reactive maintenance service covering electrical plants associated with client contracts, ensuring the highest possible standards of service are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

To provide a quality service at all times to the nominated clients by ensuring that the standards of work and the materials supplied are as specified in accordance with the contractual arrangements

To work to recognised industry standards at all times

You will be required to carry out physically demanding tasks in order to meet the requirement of the business

Elogbooks (internal facilities management system) are managed successfully for those sites/locations responsible

Carrying out quality inspections

Ensure reactive maintenance is responded to immediately to equipment breakdowns

Fixing faults on site or arranging for replacement machinery or equipment to be installed as necessary

To participate in the provision of out-of-hours emergency cover as necessary

To liaise with the Lead Engineer & Support Desk Supervisor to establish planned and routine maintenance programme and reporting procedures.

To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities and maintain current knowledge and professional qualifications to increase your skills basis (Personal Development Plans).

To undertake any other duties as directed by the Lead Engineer within the remit of the role.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

Understanding of M & E Services

Relevant Technical Certification in Electrical Installation
