Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting a Mobile Maintenance Electrician to deliver planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a portfolio of commercial contracts. The role requires electrical installation qualifications and a strong focus on safety and fault diagnosis.

You will work a 40-hour week, hold a full UK driving licence, and may supervise subcontractors on-site. A company van, fuel card, and health benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation/Maintenance or equivalent.
• 18th Edition (BS 7671:2018) required.
• AM2 qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391 (Initial & Periodic Inspection and Testing) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and reactive repairs on electrical systems including lighting, power, distribution boards, and emergency lighting.
• Ensure all works comply with BS 7671 and health and safety regulations.
• Diagnose and repair complex electrical faults to minimise downtime for commercial clients.
• Assist with minor building fabric and mechanical repairs as part of a first-fix approach.
• Use handheld PDA system to manage work orders and provide accurate reports to Helpdesk.
• Escort and supervise specialist sub-contractors on-site when required.
