Job description

Overview

Mobile Electrical Engineer – Peterborough/Cambridge based to cover 2 sites, 1 in Castle Donington and 1 in Stansted. Salary: £40 - £41,000 per annum.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive services across two sites in the East Midlands and Stansted, in collaboration with on-site maintenance staff where needed.
• Complete the PPM schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
• Respond promptly to service call requests from the Helpdesk, assess requirements, and carry out repairs as necessary.
• Prioritise electrical maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
• Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance.
• Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs.
• Identify non-repairable faults in plant and promptly advise the Line Manager with recommendations for replacement where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance documentation is completed and up to date at all times.
• Advise the on-site customer (manager) of any repair and maintenance issues likely to affect site operations.
• Carry out minor alterations and installations within technical competence in accordance with current specifications.
• Complete general repairs and maintenance at customer sites.
• Attend training courses as necessary to keep skills aligned with technical developments.
• Comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
• Represent the company professionally and develop a good working relationship with customer employees.
• Work with company and customer employees to maintain laid-down standards of quality.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance.
• City and Guilds 18th edition.
• Valid driving licence.
