Mobile Electrical Engineer Peterborough - To cover 2 sites, 1 in Castle Donington and 1 in Stansted
£40 - £41,000 per annum

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to work across 2 sites, one in the East Midlands and one in Stansted. The ideal candidate will be based in or around Peterborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive services, collaborating with on-site maintenance staff when needed.

Description: The purpose of this role is to carry out technical repairs and PPMs. You will ensure all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date at all times.

All work will be completed to high standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with all Health and Safety legislation.

  1. Complete the PPM schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all paperwork is accurately completed.
  2. Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk, assessing the requirements and carrying out repairs as necessary.
  3. Prioritise electrical maintenance and repair work to meet timescales and response times.
  4. Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance.
  5. Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs.
  6. Identify non-repairable faults and promptly advise the Line Manager with recommendations for replacement.
  7. Ensure compliance documentation is maintained.
  8. Advise the on-site manager of repair and maintenance issues affecting site operations.
  9. Carry out minor alterations and installations within technical competence and current specifications.
  10. Complete general repairs and maintenance at customer sites.
  11. Attend training courses to keep skills up to date with technical developments.
  12. Comply with the company's Health and Safety Policy.
  13. Represent the company professionally and develop good working relationships with customer employees.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance.
  • City and Guilds 18th Edition.
  • Valid driving license.

This is a permanent position offering a salary of up to £41,000 per annum, plus van and fuel card, with opportunities for overtime and call-out earnings.
