Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer to support the MET Police estate across South London. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance, inspections and fault finding across multiple police stations to keep systems safe and compliant.

You will deliver high-quality electrical maintenance on site, build strong client relationships and work as part of a mobile team across a dedicated portfolio of sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or mobile maintenance environments
• Experience on a regional on-call rota
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and a proactive, client-focused approach
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, inspections and fault finding.
• Complete electrical installations, upgrades and minor works in line with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate compliance documentation and service records.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and resolving queries.
• Participate in a 1 in 6, 24/7 on-call rota.

Were looking for a Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our team supporting the MET Police estate across South London. In this role, youll deliver planned and reactive maintenance, inspections, and fault finding across a portfolio of police stations, ensuring systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.

Role Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, inspections, and fault finding
• Complete electrical installations, upgrades, and minor works in line with safety standards
• Maintain accurate compliance documentation and service records

• Participate in a 1 in 6, 24/7 on-call rota

Required Qualifications:

• Level 2 & 3 City & Guilds 2330 or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Willingness and ability to obtain MET Police CTC Clearance (can take up to 7-10 months)
