Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer to support the MET Police estate across South London. You will deliver planned and reactive electrical maintenance, inspections, and fault finding across multiple police stations to keep systems safe and compliant.

Role requires City & Guilds 2330/NVQ3 in Electrical Installation, 17th/18th edition, and willingness to obtain MET Police CTC clearance (7–10 months). On-site, regional rota with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or mobile maintenance environments.
• Previous experience working within a regional on-call rota.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and a proactive, client-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, inspections, and fault finding.

• Maintain accurate compliance documentation and service records.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and resolving queries.
• Participate in a 1 in 6, 24/7 on-call rota.

• Level 2 & 3 City & Guilds 2330 or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Willingness and ability to obtain MET Police CTC Clearance (can take up to 7-10 months)
