Job summary

Intelligent Mechatronic Systems (IMS) is seeking a reliable Drive Tester to join our QA team. About 80% of the role involves drive testing to validate mobile products in real-world driving; 20% supports the wider QA team with app testing, bug reporting, and log analysis.

You’ll receive test cases, builds, and instructions from mobile and other IMS teams. This role offers growth in software quality assurance and requires strong time management and autonomy.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
• Comfort using smartphones and both iOS and Android devices.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Good time management and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Clear, proactive communication skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Run drive test cases on multiple mobile devices (iOS and Android) per test plans.
• Install and manage test builds (e.g., via TestFlight) and keep test phones organized.
• Follow procedures to ensure accurate and repeatable results.
• Review data pipelines and dashboards to verify data completeness and validity.
• Record results and observations, including manual data entry.
• Communicate any issues or plan changes quickly and clearly.
• Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing on mobile apps.
• Log and reproduce bugs in JIRA with clear steps and logs, coordinate fixes.
• Check crash reports and performance in Firebase and New Relic after tests.
• Inspect network traffic with Proxyman to aid debugging.
