Job summary

SeeAbility is seeking a Special School Dispensing Optician to join our NHS SEN eyecare service across Surrey schools. You will manage your own caseload, dispense spectacles, perform repairs and follow-ups, and work with the eye care team and school staff under supervision of the service manager and clinical lead.

The role supports a flexible mix of school-based clinics and remote work, with a 37.5-hour week for full-time or negotiable part-time options.

Qualifications

• Ability to attend multiple Surrey schools.
• Full driving license with regular access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Work 4-5 school days (20-25 hours) in the school setting during term time and the rest of time from home.
• Manage your own diary to ensure efficient, timely, high-quality care for all children under our care.
• Provide spectacle dispensing, repairs, replacements and follow ups to your caseload.
• Support the service manager in planning clinics and liaising with schools to book rooms and gain parent consent.
