Base:Dental Care Centre, Bedford Health Village,3 Kimbolton Road, Bedford, MK40 2NT

Rate of Pay:£13.57 per hour

We are looking for an experienced driver with a full Class C1 UK/EA licence with no more than 6 penalty points to safely navigate our 7.5 tonne vehicle to various locations Bedfordshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Essex & Norfolk, to assist the dental team at each site.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for collecting the unit from the base and driving to the rostered location, then setting up the unit on the outside to be available for the clinical teams.

You will be asked to assist during the day operating the tail lift and interact with community members as appropriate. On return to base you will then be responsible for the disposal of all waste water and replenishing the portable fresh water tank.

Other responsibilities will include performing general maintenance activities, refuelling, interior and external cleaning and operational assessment of the vehicle.

Training will be provided for the successful applicant.

Applicants should be organised and adaptable with excellent time management skills. Previous experience of driving a larger vehicle is essential.
