Job summary

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is recruiting Mobile Deep Clean Assistants for a 37.5 hour per week mobile role across NHS properties in Leicester. Driving is essential and a full UK driving licence is required. Transport is provided for the mobile position.

You will perform unsupervised deep cleaning across inpatient sites, following Infection Control, COSHH and Health and Safety procedures, and you must be reliable, flexible and able to work alone or with a team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Clean to prescribed work schedules and rotas for designated areas.
• Adhere to written procedures for check cleaning, damp dusting, damp mopping, full cleaning, periodic cleaning, spray cleaning and steam cleaning.
• Follow Trust colour coding system to prevent contamination.
• Use cleaning equipment safely in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
• Ensure economical use of materials and equipment; seek advice when in doubt.
• Handle waste (including clinical and infected) per Trust policies.
• Ensure safe storage of all equipment and materials.
• Report defects or mishaps to the Deep Clean Mobile Facilities Supervisor.
• Conform to cleaning requirements for body fluid spillages in non-patient areas as per Infection Control Policy.
