Job summary

King Lifting Ltd. is seeking an experienced Crane Fitter to service and repair mobile cranes and plant equipment from our workshop or on-site locations across the UK.

The role includes diagnosing hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic and electrical faults, performing LOLER inspections and carrying out preventative maintenance. Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or Mechanical Engineering, strong mechanical/hydraulic knowledge, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as crane/plant fitter or service engineer.
• NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence and HGV licence preferred.
• CPCS/ALLMI or similar industry certifications desirable.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Experience with mobile cranes, crawler cranes, telehandlers, forklifts or heavy plant.
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge with fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on mobile cranes and plant equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic and electrical faults.
• Perform LOLER inspections and assist with compliance where applicable.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Read and interpret technical manuals and service documentation.
• Complete job sheets and maintenance records accurately.
• Maintain workshop safety and housekeeping.
