Job summary

ATM Steel Group in City of London is seeking a Mobile Crane Operator to safely operate mobile cranes on construction sites, lifting heavy steel and coordinating lifts with site teams.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in structural steel and crane operations, hold a valid crane operation certification, and be capable of maintaining accurate records while following health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience operating mobile cranes in construction or industrial settings.
• Strong mechanical understanding of crane systems, hydraulics and safety features.
• Valid commercial driving licence with crane operation certifications.
• Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts and excavators.
• Solid knowledge of construction site safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Crane Operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating mobile cranes safely and efficiently to facilitate the movement of materials and equipment on-site. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction processes, and materials handling, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to high standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials (STEEL) and equipment across various construction sites.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on crane machinery to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with site managers and other team members to plan lifting operations effectively.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and safe work procedures.
• Assist with materials handling tasks using auxiliary equipment such as forklifts, excavators, or warehouse machinery when necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of crane operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure the secure loading and unloading of goods during shipping & receiving activities.
• Support other construction or warehouse tasks as required to ensure smooth workflow.
