About The Role

Days of Working: Monday – Friday, 06:30am to 18:30pm

You will be working a minimum of 40 hours per week, typically Monday - Friday, covering different shifts across a number of courts within a dedicated area around the home-base of this advertised location. There is no weekend or night work, but overtime may be available on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank holidays. Overtime on Saturdays is paid at 1.5x, Sundays at 2x, and weekday overtime outside normal court operating times at 1.5x.

Travel is required as the role is mobile and covers a geographic area defined by a radius of your base location. Travel expenses and parking are paid back to you and processed three times per month.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, welcoming and guiding court users.
  • Monitor premises and visitors via CCTV and x-ray machines, together with other security checks such as hand-held metal detectors on court users and bag searches on arrival.
  • Patrol and secure access to buildings and satellite buildings, and keep in contact with the control room using hand-held radios.
  • Respond to panic alarm buttons in Judges' rooms, courts and offices.
  • Respond to security issues within the complex and record and report details of those incidents.
Requirements
  • Must have Right to Work in the UK.
  • An enhanced DBS and BS7858 security clearance will be completed for the successful candidate.
  • SIA Licence and relevant security-related experience.
  • You may require a UK driving licence (location dependent).
  • Strong people and customer service skills.
  • Good diligence and high standard of work.
  • Effective communication skills.
