Job summary

Great Places Housing Group is seeking a Mobile Caretaker to support on-site communities in Stockport. Working 35 hours per week, you will handle cleaning, safety checks, minor repairs and customer queries while promoting a positive image in our neighbourhoods.

You will join a mobile, flexible team dedicated to maintaining estates and communal areas, ensuring safety, cleanliness and timely repairs, with training and development opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience in a similar Caretaker role and competent at carrying out general handy person tasks.
• IT competence and using PDAs.
• Ability to work as part of a team or on your own.
• Ability to manage your own time and work to deadlines.
• Demonstrate a positive can-do attitude and flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, safety and repair to estates, blocks and schemes.
• Carrying out hoovering, sweeping, mopping, cleaning of communal doors, glazing and lighting.
• Health & Safety checks to ensure communal areas are free from hazards and testing equipment.
• Carrying out minor repairs or proactive maintenance in communal areas (light bulbs, door handles, jet washing, painting, graffiti removal).
