Job summary

DCS Recruitment is recruiting a Commercial Gas Engineer for a mobile role covering the Bournemouth region. The engineer will service, maintain and repair commercial gas systems across multiple sites, while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires strong fault-finding, good customer service and the ability to manage a workload independently. Salary between £41,000 and £47,000 with a company vehicle, on-call retainer and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer, Mobile Gas Engineer or Heating Engineer.
• Desirable CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1/1A or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair work.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair commercial gas appliances and heating systems.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
• Undertake gas testing, purging and commissioning where required.
• Ensure all work complies with current Gas Safe regulations and company procedures.
• Complete service reports, certification and job documentation accurately.
• Support wider facilities maintenance activities where appropriate.
• Participate in the regional on-call rota.
