Job Title: Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer

We are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their service and maintenance team working on commercial sites across the Midlands.

Purpose of the Job

The role will require you to service and repair all types of heating equipment, including but not limited to gas fired unit heaters, air handling units and gas fired boilers. Call outs will be a part of your daily duties, therefore good experience and knowledge of gas fired heating equipment will be essential. You will need to be able to work under your own initiative to resolve all manner of faults and issues quickly and accurately. Minor plumbing works will form part of the job description at times (eg. repair leaks and pipework modifications for boiler changes and heater alterations).

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned, preventative maintenance.
  • Respond to breakdowns and call outs.
  • Fault finding on the full spectrum of HVAC units.
  • Carry out small works installations (including but not limited to water heater installation/boiler swaps etc.).
  • Provide accurate and timely job reports and service sheets.
  • Assist on other jobs within skill set around site as needed.
  • Ensure a professional image of CBRE is presented to clients and visitors and deliver excellence in customer service at all times.
  • Maintain professional and technical skills through a commitment to personal development and lifelong learning.
Skills and Experience

Fully qualified commercial Gas engineer with current ACS Certificates.

  • COCN1 Core Commercial Gas Safety
  • ICPN1 Installation First Fix on Commercial Pipework
  • CIGA1 Indirect Fired Commercial Appliances
  • BMP1 Gas Boosters
  • CORT1 Overhead Radiant Tube & Radiant Plaque Heaters
  • TPCP1a Tightness Testing & Direct Purging of Pipework not exceeding 1m³ in volume.
  • Hot Water Systems and Safety Course (Vented & Unvented Hot Water Course)
  • 5-10 Years Experience in a similar Role
  • Experience with large commercial boilers
  • Experience with direct fired AHU’s
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Organised and disciplined approach to work with careful attention to detail
  • Computer literate – Word, Excel
