Job summary

Acorn Engineering Limited is seeking an experienced Mobile Commercial Boiler Engineer to service, maintain and repair commercial boiler and combustion systems across South & SE London.

This is a mobile role for a proactive, technically capable engineer who can work independently, manage workload, and represent the business professionally on client sites. Gas Safe compliance and safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of commercial boiler/combustion systems.
• Proven experience with Gas Safe compliance.
• Solid understanding of HVAC and building services environments.
• Solid Health & Safety awareness in mobile engineering roles.

Responsibilities

• Carry out commercial boiler servicing, maintenance, and repairs across client sites.
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance and reactive works per Gas Safe regulations.
• Diagnose faults, perform tests, and recommend remedial actions.
• Ensure works comply with Health & Safety requirements and safe systems of work.
• Complete accurate job reports and certification documents.
• Liaise with Contracts Managers, helpdesk and admin teams for smooth delivery.
• Communicate professionally with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Participate in out-of-hours emergency call-out rota when required.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, and certification to required standards.
