Equans is looking for a Mobile Cleaning Supervisor to join our team, working on the Southern Water contracts in Southern House, Worthing, West Sussex, BN13 3NX, on a permanent basis. This role involves working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary of £27,744 per annum, along with an attractive benefits package. Please note, you will be employed by Equans, supporting their Southern Water contracts.

Shift Pattern:

Monday - Friday 08.00 - 17.00

Candidates must have their own means of transport, such as a car, motorbike, or bicycle, as there is no public transport available near the site.

Position Overview:

To provide the Southern Water account with structured contract cleaning delivery capability through EQUANS systems and processes.

The post holder will have the following responsibilities:

  1. Managing local cleaning teams and subcontracted elements
  2. Developing, leading, and supporting the site cleaning team
  3. Stock and equipment control, including cleaning consumables, bedlinen, and cleaning equipment
  4. Staff rotas, payroll, holidays, and sickness booking/cover
  5. Evaluate work standards and methods to maintain efficiency and smooth daily operations
  6. Routine visual inspections and supervision of all cleaning personnel to ensure standards, health and safety regulations, and approved cleaning methods are met
  7. Allocate tasks to cleaning staff and ensure effective use of time and achievement of work schedule criteria, with regular feedback
  8. Review staff attendance and punctuality regularly
  9. Arrange cover in staff absences to ensure continuity of service
  10. Complete Quality Audits, address cleaning issues and complaints promptly, and ensure rectification of defects
  11. Ensure all cleaning staff are trained and competent, maintaining training records, and providing inductions for new starters
  12. Complete request job sheets and retain signed timesheets
  13. Carry out daily cleaning duties as agreed with the Cleaning Manager

Requirements:

  • Subject matter expert in cleaning provision and best practices
  • 5+ years of operational leadership in cleaning services
  • Proficient in data entry and Microsoft Office
  • Good commercial and financial understanding
  • Effective presentation, influencing, and motivational skills
  • Inspirational leader with team supervision experience
