Job description

Mobile Catering Supervisor Position Covering Various Approved Premises around the Yorkshire and Humber region

  • Hours: 6am-2pm typically, but flexible to suit business needs
  • Salary: £12.71 per hour
  • Driving license required
  • Company van and fuel card provided
Job Introduction

As a Mobile Catering Supervisor with Sodexo, you’ll oversee catering operations across multiple Approved Premises (APs) approximately 25 sites within the Yorkshire and Humber region. Your role involves supervising teams across several sites, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene to create safe, healthy environments.

This position requires regular interaction with your catering teams and clients, necessitating strong communication and leadership skills, along with a commitment to excellence. Your contribution will support the quality of life for residents and staff within these premises.

About Approved Premises

Approved Premises play a key role in the effective reintegration of individuals released from prison, offering supervision, monitoring, and support within a community setting. This role provides valuable experience working in residential environments with complex and vulnerable individuals, deepening your understanding of the Criminal Justice System.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure completion of all contracted tasks and motivate your team to complete these efficiently and thoroughly.
  2. Use the company vehicle and fuel card to visit different sites and assist your team with scheduled catering tasks.
  3. Take responsibility for ensuring tasks are completed within specified timescales.
  4. Review the impact of your team’s work on each site and provide feedback to ensure client satisfaction.
  5. Oversee the ordering of stock and supplies, maintaining records for compliance.
  6. Champion health and safety practices—report near misses and hazards promptly.
  7. Conduct regular safety walks to identify hazards.
  8. Hold regular feedback sessions with your team to ensure confidence and job satisfaction.
Candidate Requirements
  • Full UK driving license
  • Previous experience in a similar role, knowledge of catering solutions and team leadership preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and adapt to change
  • Team player who can follow instructions
