Job Details

If you have an eye for attention to detail and enjoy cleaning, and hold a Cleaning Operatives Proficiency Certificate with supervisory experience, you could be perfect for this career.

Join our team working within schools and council buildings in Cupar and surrounding villages. We have a permanent vacancy working 20 hours per week as required, Monday to Friday. The hours are flexible on a weekly basis and can be between 7:30 am and 3:00 pm.

You will earn a competitive salary of £23,783.40 to £24,890.91 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:

  • £13.26 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
  • Travel expenses paid – we pay 45 pence per mile for staff using their own car.
  • Membership of Fife Pension Fund, part of the Scottish Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS Scotland).

This role involves ensuring pupils and staff can return to a clean and safe environment every school day. You will go home each day knowing you have made a difference. The successful candidate should hold the Cleaning Operatives Efficiency Certificate or equivalent and have some supervisory experience.

The Person

Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team.

Ability to travel throughout the designated area within a limited timescale.

You will be required to attend an induction training day before starting in the role.
