Job summary

Onward Homes seeks a dedicated Full Time Mobile Cleaning Operative to cover Merseyside. This permanent role requires a valid UK driving license, flexibility for out-of-hours work, and the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards across communal areas and properties.

Responsibilities include general cleaning, safety checks, and maintaining records via internal software. COSHH and hygiene knowledge are essential; training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering cleaning services to a variety of customers.
• Able to use different cleaning methods and equipment, e.g. mopping, dusting, wiping and buffing.
• Able to follow procedures to meet high standards with the ability to prioritise tasks to complete them on time.
• Be willing to cover and work in various areas within an agreed parameter covering different duties as requested.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good communication skills - written and verbal.
• The ability to follow procedures and provide performance data of operations.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning duties at locations such as sheltered, supported and specialist living schemes, blocks of flats, communal areas and properties.
• Use of cleaning methods and equipment and ensure areas are safe and signed off.
• Carry out ad hoc cleaning tasks and use internal software to record work.
• Handle and remove discarded syringes and needles; clean hazardous substances when trained.
• Order and restock cleaning supplies and sundries.
• Perform COSHH and H&S checks, PPE usage, water flushing and temperature checks, fire alarm testing.
• Carry out daily van and equipment checks and minor maintenance such as changing light bulbs.
• Attend required training courses.
