Job summary

RGIT Australia is seeking a Mobile Cleaner to maintain cleanliness across various sites in the Yeovil area and beyond. The role involves cleaning, sanitising and presenting spaces in offices, medical environments, schools and other commercial settings. The rota changes weekly with likely last-minute cover.

Shifts are often afternoons/evenings; 30 hours per week with overtime opportunities. A company vehicle is provided for travel between sites, with paid travel time beyond the first 30 minutes

Qualifications

• Prior cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred; full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces to maintain a pristine environment in assigned locations.
• Travel to different sites based on the cleaning schedule, ensuring areas are properly cleaned and maintained.
• Perform regular inspections to maintain high cleanliness standards and address issues promptly.
• Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals and PPE as required.
• Maintain a professional and courteous manner when interacting with clients or occupants, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
• Keep track of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring stock levels are sufficient for completing tasks.

Job description

As a Mobile Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various locations, ensuring that spaces are organised, sanitised, and visually appealing. This mobile support cleaning position requires flexibility and the ability to work in multiple environments, such as offices, medical environments, schools, and other commercial establishments.

Your rota will change on a weekly basis and last minute cover is likely to be needed. Often the commercial cleaning is in the afternoon and evenings or first things as most are outside of office hours.

Pay £20,280 Per Annum based on 30 hours per week OT paid at hourly rate midweek and £15ph weekend working.

Hours: 30 per week paid minimum with the opportunity for overtime

We cover areas such as Yeovil, Bournemouth, Poole, Salisbury and Southampton. Driving is likely to include a fair few miles (all in company vehicle) but must be confident driving. Travel time all paid other than the first 30 minutes at the start and end of your day as considered 'normal commute time'.

We have a team of 5 mobile cleaners across the area.

• Quality Control:Perform regular inspections to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and address any issues promptly.
• Health and Safety Compliance:Follow established safety protocols, using cleaning chemicals safely, and using personal protective equipment when necessary.
• Client Interaction:Maintain a professional and courteous manner when interacting with clients or occupants, addressing any concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the cleaning service.
• Inventory Management:Keep track of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that stock levels are sufficient for completing tasks efficiently.
• Inductions:Welcoming new staff, introducing them to the site and ensuring they know how to fulfil the role duties.

Requirements

• Experience:Prior experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles is preferred, but not mandatory. Full training will be provided.
