Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Mobile Catering Manager to oversee catering operations across KEVIAT schools in the Birmingham area. The role involves leading mobile teams, ensuring high food quality, safety and service standards while travelling between sites.

The position requires a full UK driving licence, flexibility in hours, and a proactive approach to coaching staff and maintaining operational excellence. It is a permanent, term-time role with competitive hourly pay and travel mileage reimbursements.

Mobile Catering Manager - King Edward VI Academy Trust (KEVIAT)

Location: Mobile role covering King Edward VI Academy Trust (KEVIAT) Schools across the Birmingham area
Pay: £16.50 per hour (Business mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile for the first 10,000 business miles, then 25p per mile thereafter)
Hours: 30 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-2:00pm (flexibility required with start and finish times to support business needs)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as regular travel between schools forms a key part of this role.

About the Role

As a MobileCateringManager, you'll provide hands-on support across KEVIAT Schools in Birmingham, helping catering teams deliver excellent service while maintaining strong standards of food safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

You'll work closely with school teams and Sodexo colleagues to support daily operations, provide leadership, share best practice, and help ensure each site runs smoothly.

This is a mobile role, so flexibility is important. While the usual working pattern is Monday to Friday, 8:00am-2:00pm, there may be occasions where start and finish times need to adjust to meet operational requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Ability to manage priorities in a busy environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen management.
  • Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to complete).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel between sites is required
