Job summary

McCarthy Stone is seeking a passionate Care Assistant to join our growing care team. This dual role covers Personal Care and Domestic Services, supporting homeowners with daily activities, hygiene, and companionship.

You will work closely with Field Care Supervisors and House Managers to deliver bespoke care and lifestyle services, travel between developments, and contribute to wellbeing activities; a full UK driving licence and vehicle are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support homeowners with personal care, daily activities, hygiene and medication as needed.
• Domestic: maintain communal areas, cleanliness and shopping/household tasks.
• Provide social support: assist activities, arrange transport and accompany appointments.
• Field-based role requiring travel between developments; mileage paid at 43p per mile.

Due to our evolving care and lifestyle delivery, we are looking for passionate Care Assistantto join our growing care team., About the Role: This is a dual role consisting of Personal Care and Domestic Services. You'll work closely with the Field Care Supervisor, House Managers and Registered Care Manager to deliver personal bespoke care and lifestyle services. This could be from assisting with personal care, household tasks to offering companionship and supporting wellbeing activities. There is the expectation to ensure communal areas are cleaned regularly too.,

• Support Individual Homeowners: To provide personalised care, including help with daily activities, personal hygiene, and medication assistance.
• Domestic: Maintain communal areas within our developments to a high standard, ensuring a clean, tidy, and welcoming environment for all homeowners. You will also offer domestic support for our homeowners, such as cleaning, shopping, and managing household tasks.
• Social Support: To assist homeowners with social activities, transport arrangements, and attending appointments, enhancing their overall well-being and social connections.
• A valid full UK driving license and use of your own vehicle is essential to be considered for this role. Travel expenses covered, mileage paid at 43p per mile.
• Skills & Experience: Ideally you will have previous experience in a care environment with a Level 2 Health and Social Care. However, this is not essential as we can provide full training for anyone looking for a career change. You must have strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to manage your time effectively. We welcome applications from people with domestic or housekeeping experience.
• Driving License: This is a field-based role, so a valid full UK driving license is required, and access to your own car along with a willingness to travel between developments.
• Flexibility: The ability to work on a rota basis that will include early mornings, lates and alternate weekends, and some bank holidays.
