Qualifications

Job Description:

Equans is looking for a Mobile BMS Engineer to join our Digital business, covering parts of North London and the surrounding areas on a full-time basis.

Equans Digital offers the opportunity to deliver critical Building Management System (BMS) Infrastructure upgrades across various sectors including commercial, retail, healthcare, education, and government. Our projects aim to make sites Smart Enabled, allowing us to introduce IoT solutions that provide social, economic, and environmental benefits.

The role involves working on contracted customer sites such as PFI Schools, Hospitals, Government Estates, and MOD sites. Responsibilities include:

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining BMS components and equipment.
  • Performing maintenance checks on Trend, Tridium, and Distech BMSs.
  • Participating in reactive call-out rotas with additional compensation.
  • Providing technical support and advice to clients.
  • Identifying opportunities for system improvements.
  • Preparing proposals and quotes for works.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Electrical qualifications (City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ).
  • Extensive knowledge of BMS/HVAC systems.
  • Experience with Trend, Tridium Controls/Niagara, Distech, Siemens.
  • Good understanding of electrical industry standards.
  • Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • IT network knowledge.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Controls training/experience.
  • Fault-finding in electrical panels.
  • DBS and BPSS vetting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
