Job summary

Primo Interactive Limited is seeking an experienced mobile developer to build and maintain iOS and Android apps. You will work with PHP back-end developers to integrate APIs and ensure smooth operation across OS releases.

You will be responsible for the full release cycle, including certificates, reviews, and crash reporting, and will keep apps functioning as devices and OSs evolve. A track record of published apps and strong knowledge of native Swift/Kotlin is essential.

Qualifications

• At least five years of commercial mobile app development experience.
• Published apps available in stores that we can test.
• Experience with the full release process and handling rejections.

• Build and release iOS and Android apps, native or cross-platform as appropriate.
• Design API contracts with back-end developers and ensure offline support and retry logic.
• Manage app stores: certificates, reviews, releases, crash reports.
• Maintain existing apps across OS updates and write clear handover notes for next developers.

Job description

We build apps for businesses that need one: a league app with live tables and venue finder, tools for car dealers on the forecourt, apps that sit on top of a client's existing systems. They are measured on whether they get used, and they are maintained for years after the launch, which is the part most app agencies walk away from.

You will build for iOS and Android, work with the PHP developers who write the APIs, and look after the apps through every operating system release.

What you will be doing

• Build and release apps for iOS and Android, natively or with a cross-platform framework, as the project warrants.
• Design the API contract with the back-end developers and consume it properly: offline, retries, errors.
• Handle the stores: certificates, review, releases, crash reports.
• Keep existing apps working through OS and dependency updates.
• Write what the next developer will need.

What you will need

• At least five years of commercial work in this field that you can show us. We promise clients that everyone on their project has that, so it is not negotiable.
• Apps in the stores that you built, that we can install.
• Swift or Kotlin, and one cross-platform framework, with a clear view of when to use which.
• Experience of the whole release process, including the rejections.

Useful, not required

• Payments or identity work in an app.
• Mobile device management experience.
