Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to service a Rugby and South Birmingham region, with travel within roughly a 50-mile radius and occasional nationwide support. The role offers up to £22.66 per hour plus a company van and fuel card.

You will perform PPM, fault-finding, and repairs on diverse commercial HVAC systems, maintain compliance, and deliver high-quality customer service on-site at client locations.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.
• Valid F-Gas Category 1 certification.
• Experience maintaining/commercial AC systems.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Willingness to travel and occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Diagnosing faults and undertaking reactive repairs across commercial environments.
• Servicing and maintaining split, VRV/VRF, multi-split, and ventilation systems.
• Replacing components and carrying out minor installation works where required.
• Completing service reports, F-Gas documentation, and compliance records accurately.
• Building relationships with clients and providing technical advice.
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with regulations.
