Job summary

Mitie in Chester is seeking a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer (Competent Person) to carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs and inspections of air conditioning systems across multiple sites. Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in refrigeration and air conditioning is required.
• NVQ certifications in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems preferred.
• F-gas Category 1 certification required.
• Minimum of five years' post-qualification experience.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to assess and report on equipment condition.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs and inspections of air conditioning systems across multiple sites.
• Ensure compliance with F-gas regulations and all relevant standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
• Perform refrigerant leak testing and recovery.
• Complete all required documentation related to maintenance and compliance.
• Work in line with health and safety procedures.
• Liaise with clients, customers and contractors.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support the wider team.
