Job summary

A leading facilities management firm is seeking a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to perform maintenance and fault finding on HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience and relevant qualifications, including F-Gas certification. Overview

Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.

Role

Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation. We are looking for a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance on HVAC appliances.
  • Performing diagnostic checks and fault finding on HVAC systems.
  • Undertaking general maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, to support the general maintenance team.
  • Performing routine PPM tasks in accordance with the SFG20 framework.
  • Cooperating with other disciplines to provide multi-discipline services where required.
  • Procuring materials and equipment to carry out works through the Supervisor or Manager.
  • Assisting the site team in ensuring all statutory and legislative requirements are achieved and adhered to.
  • Completing risk assessments and worksheets for works undertaken.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Experience in maintenance, testing, and fault finding on a variety of equipment, including HVAC systems
  • A refrigeration or air conditioning-specific qualification such as:
    • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning and Small Refrigeration
    • City & Guilds Refrigeration and Air-conditioning (7189) Level 2 or 3
    • City & Guilds Refrigeration, Air-conditioning and Heat Pump Systems (6090) Level 3
    • F-Gas Category 1 certification (City & Guilds 2079)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an Air Conditioning service role.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and building statutory compliance.
  • Full UK driving licence.
