Job summary

Copello Global is seeking a Senior MMIC Design Engineer to drive design, verification and production of high-performance MMICs for RF/microwave applications. You’ll collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to advance product development and influence technical direction.

The role offers hybrid working options and the chance to mentor junior engineers while contributing to defence and communications projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, RF or related discipline required or equivalent experience.
• Commercial MMIC design experience in semiconductor/RF industry is essential.
• Experience with RF amplifiers, frequency conversion circuits or other high-frequency components.
• Knowledge of GaAs/GaN or similar technologies and RF simulation/measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and verify advanced MMICs from concept to production.
• Perform circuit simulation, optimisation and design verification.
• Support development lifecycle and collaborate with internal and external partners.
• Produce technical documentation and participate in design reviews.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.

We're working with an innovative engineering organisation, due to continued growth, they're looking for an experienced Senior MMIC Design Engineer to join their expanding team and play a key role in the development of next-generation microwave and millimetre-wave solutions for high-performance applications.

The Role

As a Senior MMIC Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for the design, development and verification of advanced MMIC solutions, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to take products from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance MMICs for RF and microwave applications.
• Carry out circuit simulation, optimisation and design verification.
• Support products throughout the full development lifecycle, from concept to manufacture.
• Work closely with internal engineering teams and external manufacturing partners.
• Produce technical documentation and contribute to design reviews.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring where appropriate.

About You

We're looking for an experienced RF/MMIC engineer with a strong background in semiconductor design.

You'll ideally have:

• A degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronic Engineering, RF Engineering or a related discipline.
• Commercial experience designing MMICs within the semiconductor or RF industry.
• Experience designing RF amplifiers, frequency conversion circuits or other high-frequency components.
• Knowledge of GaAs, GaN or similar semiconductor technologies.
• Experience using RF simulation and measurement tools.
• A strong understanding of RF and microwave systems.
