Job summary

IC Resources is seeking a Senior RF IC Design Engineer to join our expanding high-tech client based in Cardiff. Very flexible / hybrid working is available.

You will drive RF and microwave front-ends, transceivers, SiP architectures and MCM solutions for a range of target markets, while mentoring junior engineers and delivering cutting-edge RF products.

Qualifications

• Several years’ experience in analogue, mixed-signal, RF and microwave IC design.
• Strong track record of RF product development.
• Expertise in RF architecture, circuit design, simulation and verification, high-frequency layout, and PDKs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork within a small, rapidly expanding team.

Responsibilities

• Drive development of RFICs, RF cores, and signal interfaces.
• Develop high-performance RF and microwave front-ends and transceivers for complex communication systems.
• Design low-noise amplifiers and signal chain blocks such as quadrature mixers, low phase-noise PLLs, TX blocks, PA driver stages, switches, attenuators, VCOs, and amplifiers.
• Imparting expertise to more junior engineers within the group.

Following a period of strong success, our client has secured several exciting new projects and is continuing to expand rapidly. They now seek a Senior RF IC Design Engineer to drive the development of cutting-edge RF and microwave front-ends, transceivers, RF system-in-package (SiP) architectures, and multi-chip module (MCM) solutions for a range of target markets.

The Role Will Involve

• Driving the development of RFICs, RF cores, and the signal interfaces
• Develop high-performance RF and microwave front-ends and transceivers for complex communication systems
• Design low-noise amplifiers and signal chain blocks such as quadrature mixers, low phase-noise PLLs, TX blocks, PA driver stages, switches, attenuators, VCOs, and amplifiers
• Imparting expertise to more junior engineers within the group

The Right Candidate Will Have

• Several years’ experience in analogue, mixed-signal, RF and microwave IC design
• A strong track record of RF product development
• Expertise in RF architecture, circuit design, simulation and verification, high-frequency layout, and semiconductor process technologies (PDKs)
• Great communication and teamwork skills, which are particularly useful for working within a small, rapidly expanding team
