Job summary

Cornerstone Community Care in Aberdeen is seeking a caring support worker to help a 14-year-old son with ASD and severe learning disabilities enjoy social time and activities. Job description

A family are looking for a caring support worker to help their 14 years old son enjoy some social time and activities.This young man has ASD and severe learning disability.His vocabulary is limited, therefore he communicates with some words and physical cues.

He is playful, likes to listen to rhymes and sing along.His favourite activity is spinning objects.Whilst he will move around if agitated, when feeling safe and engaged he will sit and enjoy play time.

The family would like someone who could spend the first two weeks getting to know their son prior to him attending school.The activities would include going for a walk, park time and play at home.
