Job Description
Our client, operating in the nuclear and oil & gas sectors, is seeking three skilled MMA Welders to join their team in a permanent capacity. This opportunity involves structural welding as a fabricator/welder, with an emphasis on maintaining quality to industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MMA welding in accordance with ISO 9606-1 standards.
- Conduct structural welding and fabrication tasks.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols specific to the nuclear sectors.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Interpret welding procedure specifications and technical drawings.
- Complete weld tests at designated locations as required.
- Work collaboratively with a team of welders and structural technicians.
- Adapt to potential shift changes, including a possible 10 on/4 off pattern.
Requirements:
- Experience in MMA welding, specifically within the nuclear sectors.
- BS EN ISO 9606-1 coded welding qualification.
- Proficiency in structural welding and fabrication.
- Recent experience with both coded welding and welding testing.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Adaptability to work overtime and potential shift pattern changes.
- Completion of a weld test at Bridgwater & Taunton College.
