Job summary

Callosum, based in London, is building a dedicated AI research lab focused on foundations for more capable, efficient, and reliable intelligent systems. We seek Research Scientists who identify fundamental questions, originate new approaches, and turn ambitious ideas into clear empirical results.

You will work with a small, highly technical team on frontier-scale infrastructure, shaping your research agenda and the lab's broader direction.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent demonstrated research excellence (publications, open-source work, or notable contributions).
• Strong mathematical and experimental foundations in ML.
• Hands-on implementation and debugging of models, experiments, and systems from first principles.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end research agenda from problem selection to implementation.
• Run rigorous experiments from small to large-scale settings and report results.
• Translate promising ideas into frontier-scale implementations with engineering collaborators.
• Communicate findings through internal reviews and open artefacts.
